Rosehip Plus

Rosehip Oil is a fruit oil extracted from the seeds of the rosehip which is an amber berry-like fruit that grows wild on rosehip bushes and is left behind after the rose has flowered and dropped its petals.

RosehipPLUS® Rosehip Oil is made using only the highest quality Rosehip seeds that are sourced from the Southern Andes region in Chile.

Our oil is cold pressed which means that the Rosehip Oil is extracted from the seeds of the Rosehip berry using a chemical and heat free process with screw-driven machine or press. This process ensures the potent antioxidants and essential fatty acids that may otherwise be lost or reduced during a chemical extraction process – meaning that you get only the best Rosehip Oil with no added nasties.

This grinding process is responsible for the toasty aroma experienced when using RosehipPLUS® Rosehip Oil, which is caused by the natural

friction of the seeds being grounded. A superfine filtering process is applied which preserves the natural and effective qualities of this unique oil.

RosehipPLUS® Rosehip Oil is rich in colour with an orange-reddish hue, largely due to the Beta-Carotene content. This natural hue is maintained due to the cold pressed manufacturing process.

The natural and effective qualities of this unique oil which are preserved when cold pressed, means the oil is rich in skin-loving naturally occurring vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acid. These include Vitamin A (Retinol) and Vitamin C, essential fatty acids Omega-3, 6 and 9, as well as Lycopene and Beta-Carotene to help keep skin hydrated, moisturised and younger looking.

Antioxidants are natural compounds that help protect the body’s cells by neutralize free radicals caused by the sun, pollution wind, and temperature (as well as stress, metabolism and the presence of excess oxygen). Antioxidants fight free radicals and play a significant role in the prevention of the onset of disease including skin ageing. Common antioxidants are Vitamins A, C, E, and beta carotene. These special vitamins assist in skin repair and the strengthening of blood vessels.
Lycopene is an antioxidant compound that gives certain fruits and vegetables their colour. It is one of the major carotenoids in the diet of North Americans and Europeans. Carotenoids are pigments that give yellow, red, and orange vegetables and fruits their colours. Lycopene is shown to help reduce the effects of ageing by promoting collagen production, as well as reduce skin redness and soothe rough and dry skin.
Beta-Carotene is a form of Vitamin A found in plants. Its main function is that of a powerful antioxidant which helps boost the immune system. Beta Carotene helps to prevent premature ageing and imparts a natural glow to your skin. It is also effective in treating and protecting dry skin.
Vitamin A was the first vitamin to be discovered in the early 1900s. Vitamin A is part of a large family called Retinoid. It acts as an antioxidant to boost immunity, protects you from infection, keeps your “frontline barrier” strong and your skin smooth.
Great for your skin. Vitamin E helps the healing and appearance of scars and aids in keeping your skin healthy, giving you that youthful, age-defying look and preventing the propagation of free radicals. Vitamin E in skincare is also known as Tocopherol.
Omegas 3, 6 and 9 help nourish skin and prevent stretch marks improving the condition of poor and dry skin by hydrating it and giving and appearance of the skin glowing. Useful in addressing various skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, itching, redness of skin, skin lesions, and rashes. Omegas 3, 6 and 9 hydrate and nourish the skin giving it a glowing appearance while helping to prevent stretchmarks and improving the condition of dry skin.
